Things to be happy about this week:
- Trainspotting 2 smashing the cinema screens
- Scottish being voted the sexiest UK accent
- Having 2 AMAZING special Enactus events coming up
If you enjoyed our last talk with the inspiring Rebecca Bonnington, we've got news for you! Roger Moors, the Chief Development Officer at Social Investment Scotland, is joining Enactus to deliver an Introduction to Social Business and Social Investment. With the last talk and wine reception being such a success, we really recommend attending to reap the benefits of such an important figure coming to speak (Facebook event).
An event which has been heavily anticipated is our DevLab Hackathon running from 3th-5th March 2017. It is the first hackathon in the UK to focus solely on collaborating to engineer a product addressing an issue set out in the sustainable development goals. Teams will spend 48 hours brainstorming together while also being given the opportunity to benefit from mentorship with experienced professors, workshops teaching industry skills, and networking with industry representatives. We expect tickets to fly off the shelf for this one and places are limited so grab yours ASAP.
Our very own Enactus Edinburgh Frankenstein (Georgi) has engineered his own little monster recently. Well, not a monster. An automated chat respondent, to be exact. This will allow us to respond to queries on Facebook ASAP so people are kept happy and informed! If you need the intimacy of an actual person, however, an Enactus Coordinator is usually always on hand for any help.
