No matter if the University calls it "Festival of Creative Learning" or "Innovative Learning Week", to us, the students, it spells "h-o-l-i-d-a-y". We hope nobody was left without a plan for this week-long study break. In case you're staying in Edinburgh, though, we've got you covered on Monday evening with our regular team meeting where we'll be discussing important, yet exciting matters. We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new project with the code name Fog Catcher! The idea is still on the drawing board but we'll be taking it further in the weeks to follow by building a prototype and forming a team around the concept. Today we are also announcing the venue for our highly anticipated DevLab Hackathon, coming on the 3rd March! The University of Edinburgh, our main partner, have confirmed that the historic building Paterson's Land, also known as Moray House School of Education, will be the venue for our event this year.
Lastly, in case you missed our guest speaker on Monday 13th, here's a recap: Roger Moors from Social Investment Scotland gave an engaging talk on social enterprises and encouraged everyone to strive to bring change through entrepreneurship. Really motivating!
