It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! The lights illuminating the Teviot building and the library’s colourful Christmas tree have got us feeling festive. 🎄 It makes the long days and possibly nights spent preparing for exams and feasting on ‘meal deals’ feel just a little less awful.
Our projects have not slowed their progress, even in the run up to the end of the semester. During the festive period, our local projects Slurp and the Edinburgh Candle Company reported high sales of delicious soup and Christmas scented candles. 🕯️
In the international projects, Fog Catcher managed to raise £100 in a pub quiz organised by Roots, while a Cheese and Wine Fundraiser in Pollock halls raised £200 for the society last month.
Our business planning workshop with EntSoc generated some great ideas for the soon-to-be social enterprise SHRUB. We were delighted to have Carol Wisley from Lloyds Banking Group speak about her professional journey in root cause analysis.
Next semester, we go global. Project teams will be jetting off to Malawi, Kenya, Ghana, India and Nepal to implement their projects. We are excited to see the amazing work that is to come. ✈️
We wish you the very best with your final exams and hope to see you again in January.
